Biosketch
Rachel was born and raised in the Bluegrass. She earned her BA in psychology and sociology summa cum laude from UK in 2018, which is where her sociological imagination developed and continues to in her present PhD studies. Her research interests lie within social psychology and criminology. Rachel is a Graduate Research Assistant at UK's Center for Research on Violence Against Women and is currently the Project Manager for a collaborative evaluation assessing the impact of a Therapeutic Horticulture program at a local domestic violence shelter. She serves as the Vice President of the Graduate Student Organization, and also as a student co-chair for Sociologists for Women in Society and the Social Media Committee.
